I would like to finish my presentation and get a good mark. I would also like to make it interesting

I will need my laptop, i will need my five places (from new Zealand and international), i will also need information on all of these places, and i will need voice thread and google earth.

The teacher and students will be looking at my work

All of my class have to do this so they have different ideas and i am going to show them mine when i am finished

Which are the best ideas? Prioritise the 3-5 best ideas.
1. Talking clearly into the microphone
2. Working together so that we get things done
3. Doing some of the project at home so that we get it finished in time

Explain your reasons for choosing these. What are the arguments for and against each idea?
We think that we should try and get our work finished in time so therefore we will have to do some work outside of class. Also if we work together and cooperate we will get things done a lot quicker.

My plan is to work with charlotte so that we don’t end up doing the same things

· Research and gather material about my subject.
· Revise material and compose text for poster.
· Create graphics.
· Take pictures. Edit pictures.
· Assemble text and images into poster.
· Review poster and modify as needed.

I have made presentations on voice thread and

I think that i did the documentary well

I think that the Google earth stands out
Is there anything that needs improvement? Should I go back and redo anything?
I think that the voice thread presentations could be a little bit better but otherwise no.
Am I ready to communicate my ideas or show/display my work to others? Is the poster ready to be shown to others?
Yes. I think i am ready to show others my presentations

I can tell my friends, teachers, parents, family, siblings e.t.c.
What is the best way to present this to my audience?
Probably in like a short speech kind of presentation...
How do I interest other students in my particular subject?
By telling them about it and making my presentation interesting
Did I include the right text/graphics/images to inform and appeal to other students?

Learn from experience

What have I learned?
If I had to start this activity all over again, how would I improve my performance? Would I change my work habits? Would I use a different subject or different design? Would I only make small changes?
I would probably make more time at home to do this and communicate more with my partner so that we don’t do the same activities/places
How have I improved since that last time I worked on a similar task?
I have learnt more computer skills and to work and communicate with a partner
Have I learned anything about my subject or about appealing to others or about presenting information?
I have learnt how to use voice thread, Google earth and wikispace more thoroughly than i knew before i started
Can I use that elsewhere?
Yes i can use it for other projects and maybe when i et older it might come in handy knowing lots of things about these web sights
How has my thinking changed as a result of this work?
When i concentrated i found out that i got my work done a lot faster and quicker that i did when i mucked around. Also when i concentrated it was done better and with more effort
What skills have I learned and developed?
To concentrate and use my laptop in a better way
Can these skills be applied to other subjects/activities?
Yes, maybe.
What problems did I have to solve? Were there obstacles in developing ideas, researching material, or presenting the material? How were they overcome?
When i got up to the Google earth stage i found out that it wouldn’t save so i had to keep redoing it. But eventually when i got i done in one period i could save it to a folder and i was done.
How did I use the strengths of others to help me?
If i got stuck i would ask them but if they didn’t know i would ask the teacher.
